ADVANCED HYDRAULICS & SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT (AHI)

(AHI) 5 DAYS – ADVANCED MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AND ENGINEERING PERSONNEL HAVE A NEED FOR INFORMATION RELATED TO CIRCUIT DESIGN, PROPER COMPONENT SELECTION AND SIZING TECHNIQUES.

This training course is structured around five modules. Module 1: Sizing, options and application of various hydraulic circuits using standard pressure, directional and flow control components. Module 2: Sizing, selection, options and application of various hydraulic circuits using proportional pressure, directional control components. Module 3: Introduction and application of logic cartridge valves for high flow, high power hydraulic circuits. Module 4: Pump types and application of fixed displacement and variable displacement pumps with pressure regulating type and displacement (flow) controls. Module 5: Work Problem (as time permits).

This training course emphasizes reliable methods of hydraulic circuit design, efficient use of fluid power and electrical power and potential design problems and pitfalls that can lead to expensive modifications or systems that cannot perform as required. Each module will include example applications requiring student work and solutions.

Prerequisite:
Successful completion of AMT’s Industrial Hydraulic Principles Course or equivalent & substantial work experience with industrial hydraulic equipment & systems. Bring your laptop computer and/or a calculator for technical problem solving. Note: This class does not review pump or valve function, operation or schematic symbols. Student participation is in the form of application and selection work problem assignments.
