5 DAY TRAINING COURSE
(GSH) 5 days – The US is undergoing the biggest turnover of its workforce in its history. Many of the newer American industrial maintenance workers are stepping into
their positions with limited formal training or experience with manufacturing technology – electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fluid power.
This 5-day training course is the first step (step 1) in the development of competent maintenance mechanics and technical personnel that need to be capable of
understanding, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic systems. This includes proper pump setup and commissioning techniques.
This first step hydraulic training seminar concentrates on developing students’ in-depth understanding of industrial hydraulic fundamentals. These fundamentals
include: characteristics of fluid pressure, fluid flow, fluid power, cylinder and hydraulic motor speed control, system heat production. Students will understand the
purpose, function, operation and hydraulic schematic symbol for all major hydraulic valves and pumps. This training includes ample hands-on lab exercises to
reinforce the classroom lecture. We want our students to come, prepared to be challenged in the classroom and the lab.
* This training course qualifies for AMT’s PA State recognized Industrial Fluid Power Program. Enrollment in this program is optional and without additional cost. Student
evaluation at the end of the training course.
PREREQUISITE
Successful completion of AMT’s Industrial Hydraulic Principles Course or equivalent & substantial work experience with industrial hydraulic equipment & systems. Bring
your laptop computer and/or a calculator for technical problem solving. Note: This class does not review pump or valve function, operation or schematic symbols.
Student participation is in the form of application and selection work problem assignments.
